JayPitts is a Detroit-based content creator, storyteller, and independent recording artist whose work lives at the intersection of mental health, culture, and creativity.After spending 7 years working in a psychiatric ward, Jay began sharing lived-experience stories that shed light on mental health, emotional vulnerability, and the human side of care. His grounded, reflective approach resonated deeply, helping build a community of people who feel seen, heard, and understood.Alongside his storytelling, Jay expresses the same themes through music—drawing from rich Black soul, lyricism, social awareness, and honesty. Whether through a song or a video, his work is rooted in purpose: to heal, relate, and remind others they are not alone.
